- We have added a new major feature to the recording module :
Set Recording Length (shortcut key ALT-C)
This feature is very useful when you manually start a recording and you can not stay near your computer till your favorite show ends, so just set the desired recording duration and ChrisTV PVR will take care of your recording.
You can also use the adjust recording duration feature for scheduled task that already run. Please note that this feature is not supported for background recording mode.
- ChrisTV Sleep Timer feature has been improved, now you can configure the sleep timer to :
- Close ChrisTV
- Shutdown the Computer
- Activate Standby Mode
- Activate Hibernate Mode.
- Added the option to activate the TimeShift mode on ChrisTV PVR start.
- Added support for TitanTV - TV Listings. You will be able to add scheduled recordings directly from TitanTV website, for more details about the configuration steps, please read this page :

- Improved Zoom feature and fixed zoom settings load issue that appeared in some cases.

ChrisTV PVR Version 5.00 suite brings NEW features and many improvements :
- Multituner support (in Professional version only)
You will be able to use up to 4 (four) video capture devices with ChrisTV PVR. This feature will allow you to watch your favorite TV channel using 1 TV card and record another channel(s) with the other TV card(s) that you have installed on your PC.
- Background/Silent recording
ChrisTV PVR will record your favorite TV show in background with no video/sound preview, minimized in systray. Feature available for Hardware MPEG Recording, Software MPEG Recording and AVI Recording.
- Timeshift Quality presets.
You will be able to choose your favorite Timeshift Quality settings to save diskspace or have best quality from 4 presets :
- Best (video bitrate 9600 KBits/sec),
- Good (video bitrate 6400 KBits/sec),
- Normal (video bitrate 4800 KBits/sec)
- Low (video bitrate 3000 KBits/sec).
- Trayicon feature
Have instant access to your channels list and main settings by a simple mouse click on ChrisTV trayicon. Also you can minimize ChrisTV to the systemtray next to your clock.
- Capture Devices Status Window (in Professional version only)
Keeps you informed regarding the status of each video capture device that you have installed and configured to work with ChrisTV PVR. You will be able to change the preview from one device to another device and stop recording at any time (background recordings or recordings with video preview).
- Improved support for Microsoft Windows Vista.
- Sound Settings Window lets you configure easily what sound mixer should ChrisTV use and you can choose the playback and recording sound settings.
- ChrisTV PVR Scheduler has been improved and optimized to work better and detect conflicting scheduled tasks.
- PVR Recording settings have been reorganized. You will be able to access the recording settings and create/customize recording profiles from ChrisTV PVR main application and ChrisTV PVR Scheduler window.
- ChrisTV Agent has been optimized to work with more than one TV card.
- ChrisTV PVR Wizard has been improved so you can configure easily your TV card or other video capture device.
- You can add LivePreview Mode support in your ChrisTV Lite by activating the "Add-On Plus 3" Package. This option is available for TV cards with MPEG Hardware Encoder : Hauppauge PVR 150/500, Hauppauge HVR 1300, ATI Theater 550 PRO and others. For more details please click here.
- Improved detection of TV cards and video capture devices.
- Added the option to hide the recording information red label displayed on TV window while recording.
- Fixed Timeshift and recording problems for some USB2 TV cards.
- Added the shortcut ALT+S to change the Aspect Ratio Mode. Please check the complete list of Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Fixed problems that appeared on some systems for users without administration rights.
- Fixed automatic launch of ChrisTV Agent on some systems.
- Hauppage remote control settings file has been added under "Remote Control Files" folder. For information how to configure your remote control please visit our support forum.
- German, Dutch and Romanian language files have been updated.
- Other small fixes and improvements.

- Added the option to create a new scheduled task (duplicate) using the information from a previous defined task.

- Support for FFDShow has been improved and also you can set which FFDShow filter preset should be applied to the video preview.
- Optimized video and audio initialization on ChrisTV launch.
- Fixed AVI recording and MPEG recording problems for some software TV cards.
- Fixed video rendering problems for capture devices that have only video capture pin.
